Each pot should be equipped with a blower. The air supply volume should be carefully controlled to prevent the activated carbon from turning into powder and causing gold loss.

2. Initial Smelting

  • Graphite crucible
  • Borax (30-50 kg/ton)
  • Lead (optional for first smelting)

Process:
Mix slag-like coarse material and borax in a 1:1 ratio and add to the graphite crucible.
For the first smelting, if the gold content is high, lead is not necessary. After cooling, separate the alloy and colored glaze.

3. Lead Removal

  • Cement (50 kg)
  • Coke/coal
  • Dry firewood
  • Small fan (100W, 2 pcs)

Process:
Create a cement pot in the shape of a crucible with a circular pit in the middle.
Place the lead-containing gold into the cement pot, cover with briquettes or coke, and heat with dry firewood.
Use a fan to heat up to 1000-1300 degrees Celsius. Maintain the temperature to allow lead to vaporize and be absorbed by the cement crucible. This process takes 2-3 hours.

4. Purification After Lead Removal

Materials Needed

  • New crucible
  • Silver or copper (4-5 kg per kg of gold)
  • Nitric acid
  • High-quality stainless steel utensils

Process:
After lead removal, add silver or copper to the gold to form an alloy with 15%-25% gold content.
Slowly drip the alloy into cooling water to form granules.
Use nitric acid to remove silver and copper, obtaining high-purity gold powder.
Melt the gold powder in a ceramic crucible to form gold ingots.
