Magnetic Separation of Ilmenite and Monazite from Nigerian Ore
These photos were taken at an ore site in Bauchi, Nigeria. The site is owned by a miner who aims to extract ilmenite, monazite, tin, zircon, and other minerals from the raw ore.
In the picture below, you can see the raw ore sand, which has a high ilmenite content. For such ore, a magnetic separator is essential to separate ilmenite and monazite and recover tantalum, tin, and other minerals.
This is the raw ore site where the miner is conducting exploration activities.
We have a warehouse in Jos, Nigeria, equipped with various machines, including:
Shaking tables
Single roller magnetic separators
Three-disc electromagnetic separators
Every day, many local miners visit our warehouse. Below is a photo of one such miner.
