Designing a 10 TPD Mobile Gold Leaching Plant for High-Silver Ore in Tanzania

We recently received an inquiry from a Jordanian customer who has been operating in Tanzania for six months. His gold mine in the Morogoro region contains ore with a gold content of 9ppm and a notably high silver content. The customer aims to start processing his ore and has already obtained all necessary mining certificates.

Customer’s Initial Plan:
The customer initially intended to begin with a 10 TPD mobile gold leaching plant as a trial setup. However, recognizing the significant silver content in his ore, we proposed an enhanced solution to maximize silver recovery.

Our Solution:
To address the high silver content, we recommended adding two 3×3.5m leaching tanks to the mobile leaching plant. This addition will extend the leaching time, allowing for better recovery of silver alongside gold. It’s important to note that silver can be recovered both in the leaching and melting stages of the process.

Currently, the customer’s processing setup is rudimentary, consisting of basic crushing and mercury plate systems. While this method is cost-effective, it results in significant gold losses during processing. Transitioning to a formal gold processing plant is crucial for improving recovery rates and overall efficiency.

Next Steps:
The customer plans to visit China next month to discuss the 10 TPD mobile gold leaching plant with us. We are eager to collaborate with him and provide a tailored solution that meets his specific needs.
