【Project Time】June 2023 – Present
【Raw ore】Gold ore
【Capacity】300 tons per day
【Process】Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP)
【Recovery Rate】Above 92%
【Country】Kenya
In June 2023, DASEN MACHINERY undertook the EPC construction of a 300 TPD CIP gold plant in Kenya. After thorough trenching, sample analysis, and leaching experiments, it was confirmed that the average gold content of the raw ore is 2.5 grams per ton. The tested CIP process achieved a gold recovery rate exceeding 92%.
From sample testing and process design to equipment selection, manufacturing, shipping, and installation, the entire project was completed in about five months. The plant is now in full production, generating an estimated annual profit of approximately USD 25,000,000. This stands as a highly successful case in gold ore processing.
CIP Process Flow
The CIP leaching process is especially suitable for oxide-type gold ores with low sulfide and arsenic content, minimizing cyanide consumption and optimizing recovery rates.
Main processing steps:
Crushing System:
Uses jaw crushers and cone crushers (typically two stages, three for larger capacities).
Leaching System:
6–8 leaching tanks for efficient gold dissolution.
Desorption & Electrolysis System:
Recovers gold as gold mud.
Smelting System:
Produces final gold bars with purity above 99.9%.
Overall plant gold recovery reaches over 92%, making this an efficient and direct method for producing high-purity gold bars.
