The Success of Jos Shaking Tables & Magnetic Rollers in Abuja

A customer from Abuja brought ore samples to our Jos warehouse for washing tests using the shaking table.

The customer’s samples contained ilmenite, monazite, and tin ore. There was no mud or rock in these samples, so direct washing was possible. The customer finished the washing yesterday, and the results were very good—the shaking table removed silica much more efficiently than the spiral chute.

Currently, the customer is still at our warehouse, waiting for the materials to dry before moving on to the next stage of separation. The next steps are as follows:

Use a single roller magnetic separator to separate iron and ilmenite.
Use a three-roller magnetic separator to separate monazite.
Use a three-disc electromagnetic separator to separate tin and zircon.

This customer has visited Jos twice. The first time, a government power outage forced him to return to Abuja. During his second visit, there was another power outage, but power was restored the next day and testing could continue as planned.

Before bringing the samples, the customer thought the spiral chute would be better than the shaking table for removing silica. This is incorrect. Although the spiral chute has a higher capacity (4 tph) compared to the shaking table, the shaking table is much better at cleaning out silica. That’s why we have delivered so many shaking tables to Jos.

 

Recently, we are planning to delivery one batch 3 rollers magnetic separator to Jos in this month.
