4 Sets of 6S Shaking Tables Installed and Commissioned in Bauchi, Nigeria

We have successfully completed the installation and commissioning of four 6S shaking tables for a customer in Bauchi, Nigeria. The customer collected the equipment from our Jos warehouse, and our technical team managed the entire setup on site—from foundation guidance to mechanical and electrical installation, piping, and final commissioning—so the system could achieve stable, high‑efficiency silica removal from day one.

Project Overview
Location: Bauchi, Nigeria
Equipment: 4 x 6S shaking tables
Scope: Foundation guidance, mechanical installation, utilities connection (water and electrical), commissioning, optimization, and operator handover
Objective: Maximize silica removal efficiency and deliver a stable, easy-to-operate gravity separation system

Our team has completed many shaking table installations across Nigeria. This local experience helps us adapt to real site conditions, including water quality, power stability, and ore characteristics.

Scope of Work and Services Provided
Foundation guidance: Advised on concrete dimensions, reinforcement, leveling, and vibration isolation to ensure long-term stability and alignment.
Mechanical installation: Deck assembly, frame alignment, feed distribution setup, and drive calibration (stroke and frequency).
Utilities and connections: Sizing and routing of water pumps and piping, flow control setup, and safe, compliant electrical wiring and earthing.
Commissioning and optimization: Tuning of feed rate, wash water, deck angle, and stroke to achieve strong silica removal for the customer’s specific ore.
Operator handover: On-site training covering safe startup/shutdown, daily checks, parameter adjustments, and routine maintenance.

Why 6S Shaking Tables for Silica Removal
High separation precision: Adjustable slope, stroke, and wash water allow fine control for different particle sizes and ore textures.
Strong silica cleaning: 6S tables are especially effective at separating lighter silica from heavier valuable minerals, often removing the majority of silica present in the feed.
Proven reliability: Simple mechanics, robust construction, and straightforward operation make the 6S ideal for consistent performance in field conditions.

Performance and Capacity
Typical capacity per table: Approximately 500–800 kg/hour, depending on feed size distribution, density, and target concentrate grade.
Influencing factors: Proper feed preparation, consistent feed rate, adequate wash water, level foundation, and correct deck angle are essential for stable recovery and product quality.

Spiral Chute vs. 6S Shaking Table
Shaking table: Delivers higher cleaning efficiency for silica removal and better final concentrate quality.
Spiral chute: Offers higher throughput and lower operating cost per ton, but usually lower cleaning efficiency for silica compared to tables.
Practical flowsheet: Many operations use spirals for pre-concentration, followed by shaking tables for final cleaning—balancing capacity with product quality.
Foundation and Utilities: Keys to Stable Operation
Foundation: A level, rigid, vibration-isolated concrete base is critical. We provided dimensions, anchor layouts, and leveling methods to keep deck alignment within tolerance.
Water system: Proper pump sizing, stable pressure, and clean supply are necessary to maintain consistent wash water and separation bands.
Electrical: Safe routing, correct cable sizing, grounding, and protection devices reduce downtime and ensure reliable motor and control performance.

Commissioning Results and Operator Training
During commissioning, our team optimized stroke, frequency, deck slope, feed density, and wash water to establish clear separation lines and minimize silica carryover. We then trained the customer’s operators to:

Start up and shut down safely
Set and adjust operating parameters for changing feed
Perform daily inspections (bolts, belts, bearings, table surface, water flow)
Conduct routine maintenance and keep basic logs for performance tracking
Ongoing Support
We remain available for post-commissioning support, including remote parameter tuning, spare parts supply, and on-site visits if needed. Our goal is to help the customer maintain high recovery, stable operation, and low downtime over the long term.
