Stable Feeding Starts at the Hopper
The Dasen Mining Heavy-Duty Apron Feeder is designed to withdraw and convey coarse, heavy and abrasive bulk materials from hoppers or bins at a controlled, continuous rate. It is commonly installed ahead of primary crushing, screening and mineral processing equipment, where reliable material flow is essential to keep the plant operating steadily.
In mining applications, this equipment is generally known as an apron feeder. It may also be referred to as a heavy-duty chain plate feeder or plate feeder. Compared with ordinary belt feeders, an apron feeder is better suited to material with large lump size, high bulk density, sharp edges and strong impact loads.

How the Apron Feeder Works
The motor transfers power through a coupling and reducer to the drive sprocket shaft. The drive sprockets engage with the chain, pulling the connected apron pans in a continuous conveying motion.
The loaded pans are supported by carrying rollers installed on the feeder frame. A take-up device maintains proper chain tension and sprocket engagement during operation. As the apron pans move beneath the hopper outlet, material is discharged at a controlled rate to the downstream process.
