DASEN Designs Gold Gravity Plant for Peru Client
DASEN Machinery recently completed the process design for a rock gold gravity separation plant in Peru, specially customized for oxide‑type gold deposits with clean environmental requirements.
Ore Characteristics and Testing Results
The Peruvian client supplied oxide rock gold samples with an average gold grade between 0.5 and 8 ppm.
A preliminary test conducted before contacting DASEN showed gold distribution after grinding as:
Rough particles: 7 %
Fine particles: 75 %
Very fine particles: 18 %
The feed size of the raw ore is ≤ 254 mm, with more than 50 % around 152 mm.
These features make the ore suitable for standard gravity concentration flows without chemical leaching or flotation — aligning well with the client’s environmental compliance goals.
Process Flow Design
The selected technological route follows a crushing → grinding → gravity separation sequence:
Crushing System:
Multi‑stage jaw and cone crushers reduce feed size for efficient milling.
Grinding System:
Ball mill grinding prepares the slurry for particle classification and recovery.
Gravity Separation System:
Equipped with four shaking tables optimized for fine gold recovery across different particle sizes, achieving stable and clean concentrate output.
Because of the oxide nature of the ore and environmental regulations, this client chose to exclude chemical processing stages such as CIP leaching or flotation, relying solely on gravity methods to achieve high‑efficiency, eco‑friendly recovery.
Reference and Technical Support
The process design was derived from DASEN’s previous rock gold gravity plant in Mali, which achieved high gold recovery and operational stability.
Our engineering team will continue monitoring this Peru project’s performance and provide updates once installation and commissioning begin.
