Dasen Designs Gold CIP Leaching Plant for Mauritania Client

In November 2025, DASEN Machinery collaborated with a new client in Mauritania to develop a complete Gold CIP (Carbon‑in‑Pulp) leaching plan.
The project marks another significant step in DASEN’s effort to support African partners with economically viable and environmentally responsible gold recovery solutions.

Project Background and Ore Characteristics
The client collected ore samples from several locations across the potential mining area.
Laboratory test results revealed an average gold grade of 5 ppm per ton.
With the gold price around USD 130 per gram, a recovery rate of 90% would yield about 4 grams of gold per ton of raw material — equivalent to more than USD 520 in value.

Visual inspection shows that the surface material is of oxidized ore type, while primary sulfide ore appears in deeper layers.
Further geological exploration, including trenching and directional drilling, will help define the orebody’s continuity and grade distribution.

Recommended Test Work
In nearby mining areas, local miners commonly use pan mills combined with mercury amalgamation for gold collection.
However, DASEN Machinery strongly recommends a small‑scale leaching experiment to evaluate actual recovery efficiency and reagent consumption.
Simultaneously, additional trench samples should be collected for laboratory analysis to refine process parameters and confirm economic feasibility.

CIP Process Flow Design
Based on the geological and metallurgical features, the recommended flow sheet for the Mauritania project includes the following systems:

  • Crushing System
A two‑stage configuration using jaw and cone crushers (three stages for higher capacity projects).
This step ensures optimal particle size for grinding.
  • Grinding System
Two‑stage ball‑milling achieves a 90% pass rate at –200 mesh, ideal for efficient leaching.
  • CIP Leaching System
A set of 6 to 8 leaching tanks where gold is dissolved into the cyanide solution and simultaneously adsorbed onto activated carbon.
  • Desorption and Electrolysis System
Gold‑loaded carbon undergoes high‑temperature elution, followed by electro‑winning to obtain gold mud.
  • Smelting System
Final refinement produces gold bars with 99.9% purity.

The complete production line is designed to achieve an overall gold recovery rate above 92%, offering a direct path from ore to bullion with minimal loss.
